Mexico: 6th Anniversary Expedition

Mexico

Fri, 30 Oct 2026 – Fri, 6 Nov 2026

8 Days 7 Nights

About this expedition

Celebrate six years of Wander Expeditions on a once-only journey through the soul of Mexico.

This 8-day celebration expedition begins in Oaxaca during Día de Muertos — Mexico’s most iconic celebration of life, memory and the people who shape us. From there, we travel by road through Southern Mexico’s most powerful landscapes: the misty Chiapas highlands, Sumidero Canyon, the sacred Maya temples of Palenque, the pastel streets of Campeche, and Chichén Itzá, one of the New Seven Wonders of the World.

Expect mezcal tasting, jungle wilderness, colonial cities, local food and the unmistakable group energy that has defined Wander Expedtions from the beginning.

This special departure also includes a limited-edition gift bag with exclusive Wander Expeditions merchandise created only for this trip.

This is more than a Mexico expedition. It’s Wander Expeditions’ 6th anniversary celebration: and it runs only once.

Papua New Guinea I

The best way to see not only the Mt Hagen festival but also the highlights of the PNG highlands. Safe, exciting, and lots of fun.

Indian Himalayas & Bhutan

A spiritual and cultural-focussed expedition, not the typical style of other Wander trips, but I absolutely loved it. Bhutan is beautiful and this expedition was the best way to see it, the tricky visa and tour guide requirements were all handled and the itinerary gave the very best of the country in a few days. Northern India was equally serene and even as someone who hates hiking, having a great group to champion you along the way made it fun.

West Africa III

The best overland adventure you could ever ask for. Two weeks, 22 people, 6 cars, endless laughs. Sure, the days are long, and you definitely need to bring snacks, but it’s so much fun and the best way to see the parts of Africa that most people don’t go to! And it has everything - beach, nature, pool days, local communities, cities and middle-of-nowhere adventures. I’d even go as far as to say I’d do it again….. never say never!
