Itinerary
Day 01: Kathmandu Valley
- We begin our journey in the Kathmandu Valley, starting with a visit to the iconic Boudhanath Stupa, one of the largest stupas in the world and a major centre of Tibetan Buddhism in Nepal. Next, we immerse ourselves in the spiritual atmosphere of Pashupatinath, a sacred Hindu temple on the banks of the Bagmati River. Our exploration continues at Kathmandu Durbar Square, a remarkable site showcasing Nepal’s rich history and culture.

Day 02: Kathmandu’s Timeless Heritage and Panoramic Views
- After breakfast, we continue our exploration with a visit to Patan Durbar Square, known for its stunning architecture and intricate craftsmanship. This historic square is home to some of Nepal’s finest ancient temples and artistic heritage.Next, we visit Swayambhunath Stupa (Monkey Temple), perched on a hilltop and offering breathtaking views of Kathmandu. The stupa is also famous for the sacred monkeys that roam freely around the site.
- The evening is yours to enjoy at your own pace. You can explore more of Kathmandu or simply relax and reflect on your experience so far.

Day 03: Arrival in Bhutan – Thimphu
- We take an early morning flight to Bhutan. Upon arrival at Paro Airport, we drive to Thimphu, Bhutan’s capital, where we begin our exploration of this unique Himalayan kingdom.

Day 04: Punakha – Bhutan’s Ancient Capital
- In the morning we will drive to Punakha via Dochula Pass (3,100m), where we take in stunning Himalayan views.
Visit the magnificent Punakha Dzong, regarded as Bhutan’s most beautiful fortress. Then in the afternoon, we will hike to Chimi Lhakhang (Fertility Temple), dedicated to the "Divine Madman." And after having lunch at a riverside café in Punakha, we will take a walk across the Suspension Bridge, one of the longest in Bhutan. Drive back to Thimphu. - Overnight hotel in Thimphu.
Day 05: Tiger’s Nest & Paro
- We have saved the best for last—a hike to the breathtaking Tiger’s Nest Monastery, Bhutan’s most famous landmark. This iconic monastery, perched dramatically on a cliff, offers unforgettable views and an insight into Bhutan’s spiritual traditions. In the afternoon, we explore Paro, where we can mingle with locals, visit picturesque monasteries, and take in the stunning natural surroundings.

Day 06: Departure – Farewell to Bhutan
- After breakfast, it’s time to say goodbye to this incredible journey. You can choose from various flight options with Druk Air or Bhutan Airlines to your next destination.

Absolutely unforgettable. Traveling through Central America was so much more than a trip. It was an experience built around connection and shared adventure. From volcano hikes to pyramid sunrises, every destination was stunning, but what truly made it special was the group I shared it with. I’ve come home with a head full of memories, several crazy stories, and a few friends for life.
The best introduction to this part of the world. West Africa is sometimes called "Africa for beginners". I can see it. Mostly laid back, beautiful coast, incredible sightseeing and smiley locals. Add in the mix the Vodun culture, the colourful dances and thrilling rituals and you have an adventure to remember. Benin has quickly rose to being one of my favourite countries and the expedition family some of my favourite people.
History, history, history! Wow, is all I can say. Libya's recent history has created an isolation from tourism, and made this a relatively untouched Mediterranean gem. The Roman and Phoenician ruins are just mind-blowing. The trip out to the Algerian-Libyan border of The Sahara Desert is long, but well worth it to see Ghadames. Definitely say, "Yes"!
What a hilarious group of explorers who made the long drives fun! The guys were great dancers,too, when faced with rejection by the local females at the bar/dance hall, they had no problem dancing with themselves! Music, song and "car dancing" kept the mood going the whole time. Views were outstanding in The Pamir region.
I really cherish the people I met on my 1st "YES", I said to Afghanistan. It was a small group of very empathetic and adventurous people. We were all nervous at first, until we settled into the pace of our Expedition led by Elena. The people, the lead, the guide and drivers, and the shop keepers were so welcoming and professional. Kindest and most generous people I've met in recent years. I highly recommend everyone visit Afghanistan.
Such a beautiful place with very beautiful people. Patagonia is a very unique and must see place. The crew is what makes it happen.
